Cousins

A close friend is found,
Whenever you're around.
With you I love to play,
And swim outside all day.

There's lots of fun things,
We can do.
I'm glad we're family,
And friends too.

Forever Friend

A special Friend I've found in you.
Despite the distance,
Our friendship is true.

And even as our lives get busy,
And our families grow.
I will be there for you,
You can always know.

You are a forever friend.
God has blessed me with until the end.

Gone Fishing

Dad and I are off to have,
The best day we've ever had.

Gone fishing, may be back late.
Going to learn to cast and reel and put on the bait.

So don't worry while were gone,
We're fishing buddies, our ties are strong.

Brady Boo is Turning 2

From the moment you were born you held my finger in your grasp.
Unaware of the impact you just made,
The image in my head will never fade.

Staring down at a life so new.
I thanked God for bringing you,
Into this world safe and sound.
A new life to bring home and have around.

You held my hand, as you grew.
Comfort and security for me and you.
Holding Daddy's hand as you rocked in a chair.
Falling asleep in your crib at night, just needing to know I was still there.

I soon found out how much you needed.
And how much I needed you.
You love me unconditionally,
And I'm doing the best that I can do.

Your smile is contagious.
Squinty eyes and a big splash of white.
Cheeses for the camera.
You could make anyone's day turn bright.

"Mere," is what you always say,
When you reach for our hands and try to show us the way.
"Ning," is your favorite car,
Just a shorter version to the real race car. (Lightning McQueen)

You really like to help me clean.
But you often think using toilet water is the best thing.
You pretend your a dog and crawl on all fours.
And your constantly going around, shutting all doors.

"Gaygo," is your favorite cartoon.
Maybe you'll say, "Diego" soon.
You push your Elmo scooter everywhere,
Through the grass and dirt, you don't care.

And maybe your most favorite thing of all,
Is anything with a ball.
Your favorite is your soccer shirt.
You hate taking it off, even if it's covered in dirt.

You're secure with yourself to walk off alone.
Looking at books and taking my phone.
You learned to climb on the top bunk bed.
Dad had to take it apart to keep you from falling on your head.

I hope someday you will be a strong leader.
Leading a team or witnessing to an unbeliever.
I believe God made my boys strong.
Hopefully daily reminded to whom you belong.

You were made special in his sight.
Forever a blessing and a daily delight.

Love you Brady Steven
